SHOOT PLACE

The shooting took place in the forests of the Smolenskoye Poozerie nature reserve in the Smolensk region. Here are 35 large and small glacial lakes: Sapsho, Rytoe, Chistik, Baklanovskoe, Dgo, Petrovskoe and others. Thick forests and picturesque meadows are between them. This is a consequence of the passage of the Valdai glaciation. Each lake has its own individual characteristics and legends. The reserve is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

The boat was filmed on Sapsho lake. This is one of the largest lakes in the area, it hides six islands in its waters. Amazingly beautiful landscapes of the smallest island Duboviy in the island group enhance the atmosphere of the film.



Frames of the film preserve the historical and memorial sites of ancient settlements. These places are marked by large generic stones that participated in the sacred actions of their ancestors. In various sources such places are called “places of power”.



When you are in the Smolenskoye Poozerie, it seems that nature set itself a special goal - to impress, inspire a person, fill him with serenity and strength. Purity, beauty and at the same time severity, impartiality, inexorable nature - all this is united in a single harmony. When leaving, people retain in their hearts the desire to return and deep and significant spiritual silence.
